North Bilbster Cottage and the Gardener's Cottage are traditionally built stone cottages (100yrs +) that have been fully renovated to a high standard for your comfort. Both cottages offer an excellent base for exploring Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney and will allow the occupants a chance to enjoy the peace and solitude that Caithness can offer. The cottages come equipped with all mod cons and offer the rare blend of period country cottages with modern well furnished interiors. The Scottish Tourist Board has awarded both cottages four stars.
Both the Gardener’s cottage and North Bilbster cottage are situated on Bilbster Mains, a 1300 acre working farm straddling the delightful Wick River in a fertile little valley just to the east of Loch Watten. The estate is an area of green fields and open spaces, yet is still within a 15 minute drive to the coastal towns of Wick to the east and Thurso to the west The atmosphere is exceptionally tranquil and offers our visitors a relaxing and secluded holiday, yet with the freedom to drive easily and quickly to any of the activities Caithness has to offer.
